Right in the central part of the Costa Brava we find the lovely city of Tossa. The Romans named the place Castrum Tursia. Many monuments show you that this city was once a wealthy town.
In the past the income was from fishing and some cork oak industry. Nowadays the city depends basically on tourism. A nice walking tour up to the higher old part (good shoes) of this town with its beautiful view from the light-house, is more than worthwhile.
